The harmonious palate is medium-bodied with fleshy red berry fruit and a touch of white pepper and clove, dovetailing into a piquant, lively finish. Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-Saint-Georges “Clos Fontaine Jacquinot” 2019, For the last few years Grégory Gouges has made this cuvée from one block near Château Gris, using 50% whole bunches. Rich mid purple with slightly lighter rim. Beautifully lifted nose, but still the prunes in the background. "The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Perrières Blanc 1er Cru, which is 100% Pinot Blanc planted in the 1940s and 1950s, has a vibrant bouquet of Golden Delicious apple, sliced pear and a slither of peach skin. The palate is well balanced with a smooth, almost creamy texture, kernels of almond and white chocolate toward the finish and a hint of pralines on the aftertaste. Very seductive at this early stage. This is a fine white Nuits Saint-Georges that will offer several years of drinking pleasure." - Neal Martin, Vinous
