"This bottling comes exclusively from the original vineyard used since the first vintage back in 2015. High altitude bush vines from Piekenierskloof, picked in two stages of ripeness. In the cellar the grapes were whole-bunch pressed and transferred without settling straight into two concrete eggs for fermentation and maturation. This vintage I wanted to move back to what I always intended this wine to be: understated, fresh, flinty notes and a touch of reduction rather than upfront punchy fruit. As always bottled early after only 8 months to preserve the energy of this wine." - Winemaker's notes
