Domaine Juliette Avril Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2022
The 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape from Domaine Juliette Avril, a blend of 65% Grenache Noir, 25% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre, reveals a gently oxidized character with aromas of dried thyme, spices, garrigue, plum and dried plum, followed by a medium to full-bodied, elegant palate with a juicy core of fruit, structured tannins and a firm, penetrating finish. This is a rather old-fashioned Châteauneuf-du-Pape. - Yohan Castaing, The Wine Advocate

Valenciso Rioja Rosé 2022
"The not-so-pale rosé 2022 Rosa was produced with Tempranillo and aged in tank with lees for eight months. It has a bright pink color and is not a light wine, at 14% alcohol. It shows ripeness and is quite powerful for a rosé. 5,000 bottles were filled in May 2023." - Luis Gutiérrez, The Wine Advocate
Clos Cantenac Bordeaux Rosé Elégance 2022 Magnum
"Elégance rose - 100% Merlot - once again, the team behind Elégance rosé shows why, if you want good Bordeaux rosé, they are setting the pace. Pale barely-there blush in colour, savoury fruit of redcurrant and pink grapefruit, with rosebuds and a trace of white pepper spice. This is elegant and moreish." - Jane Anson

BLANKbottle Seelug 2022
BLANKbottle Seelug 2022, "Did it go through malolactic fermentation," I asked Pieter Walser. "I didn’t even check," he replied. But who cares? This is a delightful new Chardonnay from a sea breeze-influenced site on the Lower Heldeberg, showing notes of honey, fresh dough and lemon butter and a fresh, zesty finish." - Tim Atkin MW
BLANKbottle “Retirement @ 65” 2022
"Retirement @ 65? Let's hope that's not in Pieter Walser's plans, so that he can go on making wines like this Darling assemblage of Cinsault with 44% Syrah. Fermented with around 50% whole bunches, this is "almost a field blend", with plum, bramble and red berry fruit, lots of zip and minerality and sinewy tannins." - Tim Atkin MW
Newton Johnson Southend Chardonnay 2022
"Made with full malolactic - "it's not really a choice, it just kicks in," says Gordon Newton Johnson - this comes from a cooler, south-facing slope that tends to produce a steely style. Aged in 11% new wood, it's sappy, focused and refreshing, with lime and lemongrass flavours and a hint of struck match." - Tim Atkin MW
