Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges “Les St. Georges” Premier Cru 2018, “A deft dollop of oak surrounds the liqueur-like aromas of various dark berries, forest floor, spice and sauvage nuances. There is excellent density to the sappy, textured and distinctly powerful flavors that coat the palate with dry extract that also helps to partially buffer the firm and definitely grippy tannic spine on the slightly drying finish that comes up a bit short. I would make the same observation here as I made with the Les Cailles, which is to say that while this is good, I suspect that the hail damage is preventing this from being at its usual outstanding level.”- Allen Meadows, Burghound

Clos de Tart Grand Cru 2018, "Gentle but perceptible wood is present on the lightly mentholated nose of super-spicy and quite floral essence of poached plum and cassis-scented nose. There is a beguiling sense of underlying tension to the delicious middle weight plus flavors that culminate in a dusty, palate coating and beautifully complex finish that also reveals a touch of warmth. The 2018 Clos de Tart is not quite as concentrated as it usually is, but it still has the stuffing to improve over the next 20 years and it should hold for many years after that.
