Following his studies and a three-year apprenticeship, Thibaud returned to take over the family domaine. In 2015, he produced his first wines and announced the re-emergence of Domaine Yvon Clerget. The market was not quite prepared for the level of quality from a maiden release. The future for Thibaud and Domaine Y. Clerget is very bright indeed.

Domaine Yvon Clerget
Thibaud Clerget is, quite incredibly, the 28th generation vigneron of his family to produce wine in Volnay and Pommard.
In the context of such immense history, however, the current reputation of this domaine comes down to circumstances of renaissance. In 2009, Thibaud’s father Yvon decided to retire from winemaking. In knowing that Thibaud possessed a passion to continue the family legacy, while Thibaud studied, Yvon retained the holdings and sold off grapes from the family holdings in the finest terroirs of Volnay and Pommard to Henri Boillot.
