While most famous for their cru Barolos and peerless Granbussia Riserva, do not overlook the Bussiador Bianco (a Burgundian style Chardonnay from grapes planted in the Bussia vineyard) and Il Favot, young vine fruit from the 3 great sites of Cicala, Colonello and Romirasco, blended and declassified to Langhe Nebbiolo.

Poderi Aldo Conterno
Owning some of the greatest sites in Bussia, just to the north of Monforte d’Alba, Poderi Aldo Conterno is as close to Piedmontese royalty as you can get.
Aldo Conterno forged a reputation as one of Barolo’s greatest producers, and now his sons Giacomo, Franco and Stefano continue his legacy. When the reins were handed over in 2000, changes were made including drastic reduction of yields in order to guarantee the quality of the fruit. The result is rich, concentrated wines which are approachable at a relatively early stage, but will age gracefully for decades.
