Restless River

With a focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the wines from Restless River are 100% estate grown. The one outlier in the range is the Main Road & Dignity Cabernet Sauvignon which is produced exclusively from two single vineyards on their farm in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. The story of Restless River begins in 2004 when the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley was still carving its identity on the global wine map. Craig and Anne Wessels, captivated by the valley’s breathtaking beauty and winemaking promise, decided to make this land their home.

They established the farm as the fourth to plant vines in the region and so began Restless River’s close role in putting this part of the Cape’s winegrowing landscape on the international map. There are currently five wines that make up the Restless River range.
