Tasting Notes

"The 2022 Séraphine was tasted from a bottle sent by Martin Krajewski to my home where I gave it a two-hour decant. This is a very different proposition to its stablemate, the Clos Cantenac, which I tasted alongside. This is more reserved and finely delineated with notes of black fruit. Still, those suggestions of terracotta percolate through. The barrel maturation has really enhanced this Pomerol, which now has more focus and sophistication, and a little more vigor. Very harmonious and beautifully poised, with pure, truffle-tinged black fruit on the finish, this is a deftly crafted wine that could well be the best vintage produced at the estate thus far." - Vinous
