"Beautiful ruby colour which foresees a Digoine a little more serious than usual perhaps? The nose, finely perfumed with notes of red fruits (raspberries, cherry stone), needs a little time and warms up to express this depth, this aromatic intensity and tenderness is quite customary for this wine. On the palate, the capacity of the wine to "detach" itself from the fruit enables it not only to reach a high level of aromatic elegance but also a more ethereal definition of its terroir. The acidity is well integrated and refreshing which renders a more precise expression of the fruit, deeper and denser. The ripe and already silky tannins are nicely wrapped by the concentrated expression of the Pinot Noir fruit. A great soft and saline wine which is full of vibrance, exceeding its appellation level. To drink within two or three years, or even later given the great ageing potential of this wine." - Winemaker's notes
