Tasting Notes

"An intriguing savoury note to the ripe raspberry and black plum fruit aromas recalls game or roast meat – a bit 'sauvage'. The texture is very lively, with bright acidity driving the wine to a persistent, balanced finish. The 0.76-hectare parcel is near the southern edge of the climat near the border with Roncière; Grivot relates that the fruit ripens well; the grapes are destemmed and carefully fermented to prevent over-extraction. This is a marvellous rendition of Pruliers. It should open up in three to five years and will undoubtedly last thirty beyond that." - Decanter
