Tasting Notes

"The 2019 Amphitheatre is a multi-varietal blend with more Syrah and Cabernet Franc this vintage. Bunches are picked according to ripeness, fermented in open-top fermenters and matured for 22 months in seasoned 500-litre French oak. That Cabernet Franc relishes being pole position on the nose with upfront blackberry, bell pepper, pencil box and black olive compote scents. Very fine delineation. The palate is beautifully balanced. The rejigged blend works to its advantage, endowing this cuvée with more precision and detail on the sapid finish. Excellent." - Neal Martin, Vinous
