Tasting Notes

"The 2022 Chenin Blanc Single Vineyard Series Riverside was cropped at a "decent yield," according to winemaker Alex Starey. From a single block planted in 1971, with 12 months in 500-litre French oak barrels, this is very perfumed on the nose with pressed white flower and light flinty notes from a touch of reduction. The palate is very well balanced, with quite intense yellow fruit, pear and stem ginger scents. This is very harmonious, with a superb line of acidity, a classy Chenin to drink over the next decade." - Neal Martin, Vinous
