"A deeper colour with a magenta touch. The bouquet suggests that there is plenty of wine beneath, but the detail is unforthcoming, possibly masked by the oak. Starts to grow. The texture is broad and almost brawny. There is a reductive note as well, less attractive now, but which should resolve. A Clos Vougeot with some stature. Shows well on retasting.
