"The 2024 Chardonnay Elgin comes from Bokkeveld shale soils rich in mica, matured in an Austrian oak vat with no malo. It has a light lime and red apple-scented bouquet, with just a hint of orange pith in the background. The palate is balanced, with a slightly oily textured entry. There is a very subtle oatmeal element here, moderate length, a decent early-drinking Chardonnay." - Neal Martin, Vinous
