Newton Johnson Albariño 2023, "This vintage marks the tenth release of an Albariño from the Newton Johnsons, who now have three hectares of the variety in the ground. Very lightly wood in stainless steel, concrete eggs and (for 9% of the blend) an old foudre, it has peach and passion fruit flavours, a hint of appealing bitterness and a stony finish." - Tim Atkin MW

Newton Johnson Vineyards

Newton Johnson Vineyards is owned and managed by the Newton Johnson family. The farm is based in the upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley near the seaside town of Hermanus, an hour and a half’s drive out of Cape Town. It is not only home to this special family but, in the words of Neal Martin, “to some of the best Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs you will find in the Capelands”.
