Tasting Notes

"An elegant version, round and creamy, with orange peel acidity enlivening a delicate mesh of apricot preserves, graham cracker, honeycomb and tarragon flavors. Long and mouthwatering on the finish, which shows hints of nuts, citrus and smoke. Furmint, Hárslevelü, Zéta and Sárga Muskotály. Drink now through 2028. 1,346 cases made, 183 cases imported." - Wine Spectator

Producer spotlight

Oremus

In 1993, after the fall of Communism in Hungary, the Alvarez family of Spain’s mighty Vega Sicilia identified an opportunity to establish a winery in one of the world's greatest vineyard regions – Tokaji. The vines they purchased included a plot in the renowned Oremus vineyard, from which the sweet Aszú wines were first created in the 17th century. Today, the winery continues these age-old traditions with respect for its heritage and the environment. In addition to the classic sweet wines, Oremus also produces a selection of dry wines.
