Tasting Notes

"Energising salty ripe fruit and crushed oyster shells layer together nicely with a spectrum of earthy and nutty flavours. Beaming with concentration and power with a searing line of yellow citrus acidity and a saline finish. Very enjoyable." - Decanter

Producer spotlight

Oremus

In 1993, after the fall of Communism in Hungary, the Alvarez family of Spain’s mighty Vega Sicilia identified an opportunity to establish a winery in one of the world's greatest vineyard regions – Tokaji. The vines they purchased included a plot in the renowned Oremus vineyard, from which the sweet Aszú wines were first created in the 17th century. Today, the winery continues these age-old traditions with respect for its heritage and the environment. In addition to the classic sweet wines, Oremus also produces a selection of dry wines.
