Tasting Notes

"Mandolás Furmint is a young, fruity wine with fresh aromas, yet it is full-bodied and expressive with bright acidity. As 2021 was an extremely cold vintage, this Mandolás shows great freshness and floral aromas. Its vibrant acidity lends this wine enormous ageing potential" - Winemaker's notes

Oremus Oremus

Producer spotlight

Oremus

In 1993, after the fall of Communism in Hungary, the Alvarez family of Spain’s mighty Vega Sicilia identified an opportunity to establish a winery in one of the world's greatest vineyard regions – Tokaji. The vines they purchased included a plot in the renowned Oremus vineyard, from which the sweet Aszú wines were first created in the 17th century. Today, the winery continues these age-old traditions with respect for its heritage and the environment. In addition to the classic sweet wines, Oremus also produces a selection of dry wines.
