"We had so little grapes that we didn't produce the Frühernberg in 2021," says Peter Kühn who assembled three pièces for the 2021 Spätburgunder trocken, one of which was sourced from the Klosterberg. The wine offers a toasty and spicy bouquet of ripe red fruits and shows fine purity with elegant, slightly flinty terroir tones. Silky and fresh on the palate, this is a round and juicy, very elegant, savory, fresh and precise Pinot from French genetics planted in 2006. The finish is aromatic and reminiscent dark berries.
