"Limpid and pretty aromas highlight red currant and strawberry with earthy brushwood and a touch of vanilla. The palate is creamy, with Nebbiolo’s sandy-grained tannins adding tactile tension. Balsamic notes tinge the red berry core and a whiff of rose surfaces on the finish. Concentrated acidity is pleasantly puckering. Hailing exclusively from Barolo-designated vineyards, Il Favot is crafted with vines younger than 15 years. Maceration lasts for no longer than a week, and the wine ages in second-use barriques." - Decanter
